Anthony McElligott is Emeritus Professor of History and founding Professor of the Department of History at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where he taught from 2002 to 2020. He is internationally acknowledged as an authority on Weimar Germany and has written many internationally acclaimed publications. Since 2012, his research has focused on the Holocaust. Prof. McElligott was elected a fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 1999 and to the Royal Irish Academy in 2015.

Robert Gerwarth is Professor of Modern History at University College Dublin and Director of UCD's Centre for War Studies. Originally from Berlin, Robert has taught the history of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust for the last twenty years and has published widely including ‘Hitler’s Hangman, the Life of Heydrich’ (Yale University Press).
